Hello All,

Ever since I've installed VC++ 2008 Express I'm looking at a number files
(quite a few belonging to other programs than VC++) which now have icons I
know nothing about.

My question: Is there a list with explanations to which icon means what ?

Yeah, I can figure out what the "C", "C++", "H", "ATL" and "ASM" icons mean,
but have no clue about the other ones. :-)

And yes, I did try Google first. No luck ...

What do you mean? How about clarifying what are "the other ones."

Are you really asking about the icons? Or are you asking about some file types that you are not familiar with?

Ah, I see forgot to mention the DLLs. :-\.

Well, VC++ 2008 Express edition has got quite a few icons stored in
vcpkg.dll (32) and vcproj (21). The icons I named come outof those two. I
would like to know what the other icons in them are ment for.

Are you really asking about the icons?
Yes. Icon -> file-type relation.

Nope. Explanation: I've got another (older, console-based)
programming-language which has now, due to VC++ 2008, a few file-types with
icons (other than the 'I do not know this extension' one I mean). But there
are still a number that do not have a describing icon, and I want to assign
one of the icons outof those vcpkg and/or vcproj DLLs to them.

For that I need to know which file-types those icons are ment for.
